The mindset of today’s people is if it’s not instantly tangible, received or delivered we move on to the next new, best or popular thing. We “keep it moving” but some things take time to gel, to mesh, to solidify, to come of age or to come to fruition. Many things require a trait many of us don’t want to practice…patience. Even when it comes to asking for God to move and work on our behalf we refuse to have the patience He requests. In James 1, we read that patience increases belief and maturity. When it comes to receiving God’s blessings believing “He will” is a requirement. 

We can’t force the Creator of the Universe to work under our guidelines or on our schedule. Further, we aren’t wise enough to tell our Father, who doesn’t need our help, what is the best plan, best outcome, or the best way to accomplish what we desire. What we can do is to develop our faith by seeking Him first, waiting patiently for God to move  on our behalf and in the midst of waiting to continue to pray and praise Him with gratitude. Believe His love for us is steadfast and that our God knows what is best for us…always.

When life hits you full in the face remember no matter what is going on, God will not allow you to be consumed, overpowered or devoured. Our Father is greater than any concern, circumstance or giant we may face. “God’s mercies are new every day and His compassion (for us) fails not.” Great is our Lord’s faithfulness for His beloved children. Hold fast my friends to these promises when the pain of life is hard to bear. God loves us, every day He cares for us and He is our Deliverer. Lamentations 3:22-23
