Ever feel like staying in bed with the covers over your head? Maybe not so dramatic, but overwhelmed by all that is going on. Feeling like, I'm at the end of my rope or like that old song by modern day poet DMX, "Y'all gone make me lose my mind, up in here!"
In recent months, we have all seen, read or heard one too many horrible news occurrences or experienced our share of difficulties. The headlines continue to set the tone for fear. Fear of everything, from natural disasters, to the foods we eat, to the state of this country. FEAR! Many of us have faced conflict, controversy, or had to make critical life-changing decisions that rocked our sense of Normal.
Satan has unleashed a "Reign of Terror" unlike anything we have seen in our present-day times. He has the entire world living in Defense Mode. His plan is to keep us living at Ground Zero with our eyes focused on FEAR instead of looking up to our Father in FAITH.
Be assured that in this world of sin and wickedness we all will face something unpleasant, uncomfortable, unexpected, or unannounced.
Fear and his partner Worry want to keep us cowering and living in defeat. Asking, What do we do? How will we survive? Who do we look to? But when God says yes, we enjoy freedom from the confines of both!
Fear says give up, Fears says "no!" No way, no hope. But God says with Him there is always hope. Faith says, "Don't be afraid; just believe." (Mark 5:36 NIV)
Dear friends, anytime we go through the "Fiery Furnace" experiences in life, just like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, believe that the Lord is with us. Our Lord has promised to never leave us nor forsake us. Can your faith withstand the refining fires of life? When God says yes, all things are possible!
What God has for you is only for you. Don't let fear be the brick wall to receiving your "Yes Life" with God. Don't allow worry to be the dead-end to keep you from enjoying all the "Yes Blessings" God has prepared for you.
This quote has so ministered to my heart and I leave it with you: "I have seen miracles just happen, silent prayers get answered, broken hearts become brand new…that's what faith in God can do!"
