Happy Holidays from all of us here at Shazzy Fitness!
Christmas is our time of joy and peace. Our greatest source of joy and peace is Jesus. This season should be a time of celebration with family and friends. A time of sharing love, family traditions, hearing those old stories, yet again, from our elders, continuous laughter, enjoying Aunt Eunice's sweet potato pie and Grandma's famous dressing! This is also the time when we gather all the family together for worship and praise. At church we will gather together in corporate worship to honor the One who is the “reason for the season," our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We proudly take up an entire whole row at church and enjoy introducing our home family to our church family. Grandparents especially take delight in showing off grandchildren; smiling parents in introducing their children home from college, proudly exclaiming how they are excelling in their studies. Our greatest concern should be how quickly we can get back to our routine of working out to Shazzy Fitness videos when the holidays are over!
Christmas should be a time where there is a joining of hearts, hands and minds in the bond of Love and Hope. No matter what the media broadcasts, no matter what the headlines report, and no matter how our cell phones, iPads and computers send out alerts of all the chaos in the world, let our faith remain strong. GOD IS IN CONTROL. We do not close your eyes and ears to the social injustice, racial unrest, political corruption and the constant threat of terrorism that does exist, but instead we choose to pray and believe that God is watching, listening and will judge the world for all that is wrong. So instead live in gratitude with that blessed assurance that our Savior lives, He loves us and watches over us. Share with our children in order to comfort them and relieve their fears. Reflect on the many blessings we have enjoyed in 2015. Be a light of confident peace to those who are unsaved and seeking answers. Finally, be a source of encouragement and help to those who are hurting and suffering…we may be the only Jesus they see, what a time to reveal Him to all we meet! Jesus alone truly is the reason for the season!
