Ever felt like God was leading you to do something, but despite your planning, prepping, practicing and praying, you still felt overwhelmed, overworked and well.. just not plain ready! Sometimes God's plan for us seems crystal clear, while other times it seems like He's speaking through water - we know he's saying something to us, but we're just not sure exactly what he's saying.

Which is very frustrating because when you're in a valley, the last thing we want to do is misinterpret what God is telling us!

However, when I find myself in the middle of those moments, I've concluded that it's best to do these 3 things to get myself back on track:

1. Pray. Spend some quiet time, at least 15 minutes daily, speaking to God or at least listening for Him to speak to you. 
2. Act. We all know that faith without works is dead. God can't move a parked car. Etc. Etc. Faith doesn't equal inaction. Even when we don't know what to do, if we pray about it first, at least we're paving the way for God to intervene or reveal the next step when the time is right.
3. Speak. While you're waiting to hear from the Lord, nothing helps more than some encouraging words - and there's no better person to talk to you than you! Write some encouraging scriptures or devotional phrases and repeat them to yourself each morning and at night. By speaking to your own spirit, you will strengthen your resolve and commitment to waiting patiently for God to work it out.

For me, I've found that these 3 steps seem to always somehow work out for the good.
